How to Obtain Certification as a Sensory Integration Developmental Therapist
A Sensory Integration Developmental Therapist is a qualified professional who provides appropriate services to support functional improvement and behavioral development in children with developmental disabilities, addressing domains such as cognition, communication, adaptive behavior, and sensorimotor function. All students who complete the regular curriculum of the Department of Occupational Therapy at Baekseok University are eligible to obtain the Sensory Integration Developmental Therapist certification.
Eligibility Requirements for Sensory Integration Developmental Therapist Certification
- Individuals holding a national certification or a nationally recognized credential in developmental rehabilitation services as designated and announced by the Minister of Health and Welfare
- Individuals who have completed a minimum of 14 courses (42 credits; 36 credits in the major field) in developmental rehabilitation services, as designated and announced by the Minister of Health and Welfare, at a school defined under Article 2 of the Higher Education Act or at an educational training institution operating an approved credit-based program pursuant to Article 3, Paragraph 1 of the Act on Recognition of Credits, Etc.
- Individuals who have completed a minimum of 7 courses (21 credits) in developmental rehabilitation services, as designated and announced by the Minister of Health and Welfare, at a graduate school defined under Article 29-2 of the Higher Education Act
